Hero360 is an immersive virtual reality tool designed to raise public awareness about the importance of having a working smoke detector at home. Immersed in a realistic residential fire simulation, participants must physically evacuate their home—without a controller—by moving naturally within the space. In the first scenario, there is no smoke detector: late awakening, reduced visibility, dense smoke, and a difficult evacuation. The experience is striking. Then, the same situation is experienced with a functioning smoke detector: early warning, improved visibility, and a safer evacuation.
